Berlin, January 15th 2020: A forthright collection of 34 looks was presented on a cast of models undermining the apparent prerequisite of youth. Bourgeoibstrus, is the conjunction of the two words bourgeois and abstruse; a state of well-being might be a premise of epoch-making beauty – it may on the contrary as well lead into the realm of absurd manifestations.Lou de Bètoly scrutinizes openly the status of luxury, using mainly up cycled fine materials, referring directly to a traditional bourgeois status; the tweeds are destroyed, finely reweaved, the cashmere is smartly eaten re beaded with jewelry, and the full collection is embellished with Swarovski upcycled crystals.
