LAURENCEAIRLINE

Laurence was born in Abidjan on the Ivory Coast and passed her childhood in Switzerland before moving to Paris to study fashion in at the Studio Berçot.

 –
After completing her diploma, she worked as a womenswear designer with Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton, also with the famous Mademoiselle Agnès on the french TV channel Canal+, at La Samaritaine department store.
 
 
These experiences forged a desire to experiment creatively in her own brand. Laurence Airline was launched originally as a womenswear line. The brand has now evolved into being a menswear collection as there was a great demand for her creations from male customers. Her first collaboration with Nigerian born “blufunk” musician Keziah Jones led her to pursue the idea of African-inspired pieces for men. 
 
 
The LaurenceAirline collections are produced in Africa, at Laurence’s own factory. The main goal of the company is to both produce high quality garments and also to train local people and foster new skills in a positive and conscious process, within a sustainable development frame. LaurenceAirline is assisting to build Africa’s international fashion industry in terms of high quality ethical production and bold contemporary design.
